The Studio

How the water gets drawn.

A design/build studio on Broadway, and the five-phase process that carries a commission from the first site walk to the first swim.

01 — The Studio

One roof. Every discipline.

Liquid Assets is a studio of landscape designers, builders, and project managers who believe a pool should be composed, not installed.

Most pool companies sell you a shape from a binder. We start from the conviction that your land already knows what it wants — our work is to find it, draw it, and build it so precisely that the finished water looks like it was always there.

Because design and construction live under the same roof, nothing is lost in translation. The designer who studies your site is in the room when the steel is scheduled. The project manager who answers your calls walked the lot on day one. Craftsmanship, premium materials, and long-term relationships are not values we print on a brochure — they are simply how a small studio survives at this level of work.

We serve San Antonio, Austin, and the Hill Country between them — private estates, resorts, hotels, and commercial properties that treat water as architecture.

02 — Convictions

What we refuse to compromise.

Craft

Built by hands we know

Our craftsmen and trusted trades have built with us for years. The person setting your tile has set our tile before — and will again.

Material

Premium, and proven

Limestone that belongs to this geology. Glass tile that holds its color under Texas sun. Equipment specified for decades, not warranties.

Relationship

Clients, kept for years

The handoff is a beginning. We stay with our projects — seasonal care, renovations, the next property — because the work carries our name.

03 — Process

Five phases. No mysteries.

A custom build is complex. Living through one shouldn't be. Every commission moves through the same five phases, each with a clear deliverable and a person whose name you know.

Site Study

Before anything is drawn, we walk the property — with you on it. We track the sun across the lot, read the grade and the drainage, find the views worth framing and the neighbors worth screening. We ask how you actually live outdoors: mornings or evenings, laps or stillness, twelve guests or two.

This is also where honesty starts. Setbacks, easements, soil, and access all shape what the land will accept — better to know on day one than at permit.

Design

The studio composes the water, structure, planting, and light as one drawing — geometry taken from your architecture, materials taken from your land. You review dimensional plans and studies of the design at the hour it will be lived in: dusk.

We iterate until the composition is right. A design is finished when nothing can be removed, not when nothing more can be added.

Selections

Stone, tile, plaster, coping, decking, equipment, fire, and light — chosen in person, in daylight, against real samples. Every allowance is written down as it is selected, so the number you approve is the number we build to.

This phase is where most builds quietly go wrong elsewhere. Here, it is where yours becomes certain.

Construction

A dedicated project manager runs your build from excavation to plaster — one voice, one schedule, one standard. Our own craftsmen and long-tenured trades execute the drawings exactly, and you're never left wondering what happens next or when.

We protect the property as carefully as we build on it. The site is left clean every week it is ours.

Handoff

We commission the systems, balance the water, and walk you through everything — equipment, chemistry, lighting scenes, seasonal care — until the property feels like yours to run. Then we stay reachable, because we intend to be your builder for the next project too.

Phase Zero

It begins with a conversation.

Complimentary, and specific to your property. Bring the ambition — we'll bring the process.
